I’m optimistic that winter is gone for good it being early Feb. Joke obviously.
I have the worst bike for winter, a Planet X carbon. It’s a little luxurious for the conditions and I always think that when I do race I’m never going to have that floating on air / superpower experience you get from switching from your training bike to your race bike. According to The Rules the correct number of bikes for any serious cyclist is n + 1 – with n being the current number of bikes owned.
I look at titanium bikes, the Dolans, then the Ribble workhorse. I can genuinely never see myself on a Specialised or a Cannondale for some reason but what do you recommend for me? I’m a heavy guy 85kilos and don’t want to spend more than £1k. I’ve dropped in a poll of some of the bike I’ve looked at and seriously considered but please comment with other recommendations.
